Opening round of the MX3 World Championship in Castelnau de Lévis

The opening round of the MX3 World Championship will take place in Castelnau de Lévis (France) on April 2 nd and 3 rd . Located in the South-West part of France, near Albi, this track already welcomed in the past a couple of GP's (125 in 1986 and 1995, 500 in 1999, Sidecar in 1994, 1997, 2001 and 2004) and will met the first round of the MX3 World GP.

World Champion and winner on this track of the opening round of the 500cc in 99, Frenchman Yves Demaria will be the favourite of the GP aboard his factory KTM. Knowing perfectly this fast and spectacular track, Demaria will have this season twelve rounds to confirm his domination. Seventy-nine riders (coming from 21 countries) already send an entry form to the club for this opening round; Swiss Julien Bill (factory KTM) impressive during the pre-season races, Belgian Sven Breugelmans, Italians Christian Beggi (2004 Vice-Champion), Alex Salvini (2004 European Vice-Champion) and Andrea Bartolini (99 World Champion) or Frenchman Thierry Bethys (winner of the French GP last year) are among the favourites. Beside Demaria and Bethys, Christophe Martin (KTM), Alexandre Rouis (Yamaha), William Poll (Honda), Christophe Nambotin (Husqvarna) and Patrice Casrouge (Yamaha) will represent France in this event.

The riders will inaugurate a new paddock area with modern infrastructures, while the spectators will enjoy a free camping area and the perfect view on the track from anyplace.
